Integration Overview

PagerDuty is an incident management platform used by security and operations teams to coordinate response, manage escalations, and track on-call coverage. With the PagerDuty MCP server, Panther AI can create and manage incidents, check service status, look up schedules, and interact with escalation policies — all from within the Panther AI chat experience.

Admins configure which MCP servers are available to the organization. Each analyst then connects individually via OAuth and controls which tools Panther AI is allowed to use, with the option to require approval before any action is taken.

Use Cases for the PagerDuty MCP Server

• Ask Panther AI to open a PagerDuty incident when a high-severity alert fires, without leaving the console

• Check who is currently on call for a service during an active investigation

• Have Panther AI update an existing PagerDuty incident with triage notes and findings

• Look up recent incidents for a given service to identify patterns across alerts

Connecting the PagerDuty MCP Server

Navigate to Settings > Panther AI > MCP Servers and select PagerDuty from the catalog. PagerDuty requires manual OAuth credentials — you'll register an OAuth application in PagerDuty's App Registration portal and provide the client ID and secret during setup.
