For organizations using OpenAI's API at scale, audit logs capture administrative and security-relevant events including API key management, project changes, user actions, and access control modifications. Panther integrates with the OpenAI Audit Logs API to continuously pull and normalize these events, giving your security team visibility into how your AI infrastructure is being accessed and managed. Ingested data is stored in Panther's Snowflake-powered security data lake for detection and investigation.

Panther's integration for OpenAI is easy to configure, allowing you to onboard your log data in just a few minutes. Panther polls the OpenAI Audit Logs API every minute using a read-only Admin key. Audit Logging must be enabled in your OpenAI organization settings, and organization owner or administrator access is required to generate the key.
