Integration Overview

Atlassian is a collaboration and project management platform used by security teams to track issues, document runbooks, and manage incidents. With the Atlassian MCP server, Panther AI can create and search Jira issues, read and write Confluence pages, and interact with Compass components — all from within the Panther AI chat experience.

Admins configure which MCP servers are available to the organization. Each analyst then connects individually via OAuth and controls which tools Panther AI can use, with the option to require approval before any action is taken.

Use Cases for the Atlassian MCP Server

• Ask Panther AI to create a Jira ticket directly from an alert, pre-populated with triage context

• Search for existing Jira issues related to an indicator or asset during an investigation

• Have Panther AI pull up relevant Confluence runbooks while responding to an incident

• Document investigation findings on a Confluence page without leaving Panther

Connecting the Atlassian MCP Server

Navigate to Settings > Panther AI > MCP Servers and select Atlassian from the catalog. The server URL is pre-configured, and Panther handles OAuth registration automatically. Note that an Atlassian organization admin must add your Panther instance domain to the Rovo MCP server allowlist before users can connect.
