Doubling Down on Data: Why We're Acquiring Datable
Delivering a complete AI SOC platform for teams to automate detection and response at enterprise scale.

At its core, cybersecurity is a data problem.
Security teams face complex data challenges every day: data volumes that overwhelm pipelines, license costs that drain budgets, and manual correlation that can’t keep up with modern attacks.
We built Panther to solve these problems. From day one, we've architected our platform around the belief that mastering security data infrastructure—ingestion, transformation, real-time analysis—is the foundation for enabling effective security operations.
Today, I'm announcing that we've acquired Datable, a security data pipeline platform, and that its founder and CEO, Julian Giuca, is joining Panther as Chief Product Officer. This move doubles down on our core data strengths and accelerates delivery of a complete AI SOC platform for our customers.

The Data Infrastructure Problem
AI is only as good as the data you feed it.
Security teams are forced to analyze massive telemetry volumes to stay ahead of attackers—logs, alerts, application traces, and more—but most data arrives messy, inconsistent, and too noisy for effective analysis.
This isn't a problem you solve once. New services spin up, log formats change, data volumes spike. Pipelines fail silently and break when schemas evolve. Every security team faces these challenges, and we've spent years solving them at scale for hundreds of customers.
But as teams push harder into AI, we see an opportunity to go further, too.
What Datable Brings
The Datable team brings deep expertise in security data pipelines, and Julian brings nearly two decades of expertise in observability and enterprise log management.
The team and technology will accelerate our roadmap in three core areas:
AI-powered pipelines. The team specializes in AI-driven data transformations at scale, automating the creation of consistent, queryable data.
Open security data lakes. Their expertise in standards like OCSF and OpenTelemetry will accelerate our push into interoperable security data lakes that reduce vendor lock-in.
Enhanced product usability. They've excelled at delivering intuitive, product-guided workflows that guide data onboarding and accelerate time to value.
Why This Matters for AI
The bottleneck for AI in the SOC isn't better models—it's better data.
Combining Panther's petabyte-scale data infrastructure with Datable's pipeline expertise creates a powerful foundation for AI-powered security operations.
With this foundation, our customers can:
Build cost-effective security data lakes for hybrid, multi-cloud environments
Automate ingestion, detection, triage, and investigation with embedded AI SOC agents
Maintain complete control over data and detection logic without vendor lock-in
What Comes Next
For existing customers: We’re excited to introduce enhanced pipeline capabilities and integrations, an improved console experience, and even more AI-augmented workflows.
For those evaluating platforms: This signals our commitment to solving hard security problems not with marketing claims, but with proven expertise and technology.
AI will power the future of security operations. But teams that master the data fundamentals stand to gain the most.
We've been building these primitives for years.
With this acquisition, we're taking it to the next level.
Welcome to Panther, Julian and team.
Let's build.
