Today, I’m pleased to announce Panther’s $120M Series B funding led by Coatue Management, with new participation from Snowflake Ventures and ICONIQ Growth, and continued support from Lightspeed Venture Partners, S28 Capital, and Innovation Endeavors. Our Series B is a significant step forward in accelerating our mission of providing fast, flexible, and scalable security monitoring for all teams.
As I reflect on this important milestone, I am particularly grateful to our customers who have placed their trust in us and provided invaluable feedback to help us meet their needs and those of any cloud-focused security team. Our new funding will further enable us to invest in product innovation and customer support, allow for rapid organizational growth, and support the continued success of our current customers and those to come.
When I started Panther in 2018, my goal was to address the pains of security teams that I had felt first-hand as a practitioner. I spent my entire career in incident response and security engineering, yet continually struggled because the monitoring tooling available was never built for the scale and era of the cloud. After working on solutions to those challenges inside of tech companies for years, I founded Panther to create a single platform to solve these challenges for security teams everywhere.
I believe that security teams should never have to compromise on their visibility into security-relevant data because of high cost or operational overhead. All teams deserve a purpose-built platform built for the demands of monitoring their organizations’ most sensitive assets, such as intellectual property, employee data, customer data, and more. Panther achieves this by fundamentally reinventing the SIEM, applying principles of software engineering and cloud-native architecture. With this foundation, security teams can answer questions quickly, detect suspicious activity with Python, ingest all helpful and contextual signals at any scale, and protect their organization’s ability to achieve their mission.
I’m incredibly proud of the team, culture, and product we have built and am looking forward to the next step in our journey.
